Garbage

  • Residents are responsible for maintaining the 95 gallon City-provided garbage cans. The garbage can should be labeled with an address and kept in a place that does not intrude or infringe upon neighbors or parking areas.
  • Residents are responsible to have their garbage cans either curb-side or behind your garage on garbage day (normally Tuesday) before 7:00 am for city pick up. In addition, residents are responsible to retrieve their garbage cans in a timely manner.
  • Be sure to leave at least 3 feet of clearance on both sides of the container whether placed curb-side or behind your garage.
  • No waste outside of the container will be collected.
  • Have the lid facing the street or alley and wheels facing the residence/garage whether placing curb-side or behind your garage.
  • FLUORESCENT LIGHT TUBES should be taken to the compound area for proper disposal. Place tubes along the east side of the storage building.
  • Christmas trees must be disposed of at the proper city disposal sites, not with your weekly garbage pickup.
  • Toilets are not to be used to dispose of sanitary items. Any damage resulting from misuse of the plumbing system will be the responsibility of the offending owner.
