With winter approaching, we need to be aware of the preparations that need to be made to keep things working well.
- Make sure you can turn off the water to your unit. If not, call a plumber and have the valve replaced.
- Replace smoke detector batteries and test them to make sure they are working properly. Check fire extinguishers to assure they are charged.
- Clean or replace furnace filters.
- Clean out dryer vents. Make sure they are attached to the outside.
- Make sure garbage cans have lids and both are properly labeled.
